Frequently Asked Questions

Is it true that I don't have to add any chlorine or pool shock to my pool?

It is true.  Our Aquanator destroys 99.9% of the impurities from your pool's water.  These are the impurities that cause algae, dirty water, cloudy water, etc... It is important for your pool's filter to be working properly.

how easy it to connect the aquantor?

Depending on your pool's plumbing, it typically takes about 20-30 minutes.  If you are not comfortable working with PVC pipes, it is recommended to have a plumber or pool professional install the unit.  Click here to view an installation video.

Why does the pool's filter system need to be working properly?

The Aquanator will destroy all the impurities, but your pool's filter will be used for removing the dead algae.

Can I leave the Aquanator running if the swimming pool pump is turned off?

It is strongly recommended that the Aquanator be turned off when the swimming pool is not running.  This will keep the UV lamps running at optimal performance.

Do I need to bring the Aquanator inside during the cold winter months?

It is recommended to unplug the Aquanator, Drain the Aquanator, Disconnect the Aquanator from the swimming pool's plumbing and store the unit inside while the pool is closed and the temperatures remain below freezing.

Does it matter which inlet you use to connect the plumbing to the Aquanator
