It is true. Our Aquanator destroys 99.9% of the impurities from your pool's water. These are the impurities that cause algae, dirty water, cloudy water, etc... It is important for your pool's filter to be working properly.
Depending on your pool's plumbing, it typically takes about 20-30 minutes. If you are not comfortable working with PVC pipes, it is recommended to have a plumber or pool professional install the unit. Click here to view an installation video.
The Aquanator will destroy all the impurities, but your pool's filter will be used for removing the dead algae.
It is strongly recommended that the Aquanator be turned off when the swimming pool is not running. This will keep the UV lamps running at optimal performance.
It is recommended to unplug the Aquanator, Drain the Aquanator, Disconnect the Aquanator from the swimming pool's plumbing and store the unit inside while the pool is closed and the temperatures remain below freezing.
It doesn't matter which inlet you use to connect the Aquanator to the pool's plumbing.
Each inlet is 1.5 inches NPT.
The Aquanator is: 38" Wide x 10" Tall x 4.5" in depth.
The lamps are rated for 8,000 operating hours. Repeatedly turning the lamp ballasts off and on may reduce this number.
No. It is always recommended to disconnect the power and turn off the pool's pump before doing anything to the Aquanator. Also, the UV light could be harmful to your eyes if look at directly. So always turn off the power and pump before you service the Aquanator.
Our ballasts that connect directly to lamps will produce an audible alarm if the lamps or ballast are not functioning properly.

We stock all parts for the Aquanator. We can overnight any parts, if needed.
It is recommended to clean the quart tubes after every pool season or 3-4 months. Click here for demonstration of cleaning the quartz tubes.
Yes. You will still need to vacuum the pool, change the filter sand as needed, backwash the system as needed, keep your skimmer basket clean and free of debris. You will need to insure your pool's filter system is running properly to get the most value out of the Aquanator. You will NOT need to add any chlorine or shock again, if the everything is operating properly.
It is recommended to use Schedule 80 PVC(Gray in Color) female adapters for the inlets on the Aquanator. It is also recommended to use plumbers tape and pipe sealant on both inlets for the Aquanator. The Aquanator can be installed horizontally or vertically.
The Aquanator is rated for 24 GPM (Gallons per Minute). However we have a family of products that can handle from 1 GPM to 2,200 GPM. Click here to ask about our family of products.
